Our 4th project meeting took place in the Pakleni Islands, protected area of our Croatian partner “Sea and Karst”, on 24th – 26th of September.
During the meeting, the project partners had the opportunity to organize the future activities of the IMPRECO project on the island of Hvar. Sea and Karst with the hosts of the City of Hvar and the Tourist Board of the City of Hvar, have prepared a pleasant welcome for the participants.
After the technical session, the project partners visited the fortress of the town of Hvar and enjoyed from above the view of the Pakleni Islands. The site visit helped all the participants to understand the importance of the preservation of natural ecosystems of the Pakleni islands with the contribution of the local community to that. In addition, Sea and Karst offered the participants a sightseeing opportunity at the Stari Grad, the oldest and the longest –lived city in Croatia, which celebrated its 2403th birthday in 2019 and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008.
In the last day of the project meeting took place our study visit always organized back to back with the project meeting. It was spent on the beautiful Pakleni Islands. The project partners walked on the nature, visited the old Roman villas as well as ate delicious meals.
